Keyless Remote - FOB

I am experiencing an intermitten problem with my keyless remotes. They work sometimes & mostly not work. There is no pattern to the consistancy, nor with either remotes. I have changed the batteries, I have replaced the remotes. Whenever I have replaced the remotes, they work consistently for a few weeks, then they just stop. I can reprogram them successfully, but they still will not lock/unlock or activate the panic. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks.

I just bought a new battery for one of mine. Sometimes it would work, not fully though. Now that I have a new battery nothing works. Do I have to reprogram the remote after putting in new battery? Does anyone have directions for reprogreamming these remotes?

I forgot to mention that I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. This is the vehicle that I am trying to program the remote for.

Your remote might be defective. Thats usually the case when they drain the batteries down in just a few weeks. They should last a good year or 2 with the standard batteries and regular use.

My remote is older. I ordered one from ebay as well for a spare. How do I program these remotes without taking them to the dealer? Has anyone ever done this successfully?
