Question wont hold idle

I have a 1995 F150 with a 302 engine 5 speed manual tranny. It starts and idles fine but when i am driving and i push the clutch in to slow down or stop the engine drops below idle tries to recover and then dies. It will start right back up and idle fine. I recently put a Flowmaster cat back exhaust system on it but the problem started long after i installed it. There are no ECM faults.

Check your idle control switch

Re: wont hold idle

Replace the Idle Air Control (IAC) motor. It's easy, and relatively inexpensive.

You should also check for any vacuum leaks, as they *can* cause similar symptoms.
