I have an '02 Trailblazer that the wipers stick and jump across the windshield only when they are in an 'intermittent' setting. When they run in the continuous setting they work fine. It's not the blades sticking because they do it when the wipers are lifted off the windshield. I wonder if I have a bad wiper motor unit or switch. Anybody else had this problem or know what the solution is?

Re: Windshield Wipers Jump
Think there was a recall on the wiper motor for this, water drips around the hood into the circuit board or something. See some comment on this here:

Re: Windshield Wipers Jump
Has anyone re-developed this problem with their wipers?
I know they did the recall/fix on my wipers back in '04. I wasn't haveing any problems then but now I am. Will GM still fix this? I'm assuming moisture has now corroded the board. Thanks |

Re: Windshield Wipers Jump
Take it in and see what is wrong, they just fixed mine for the same issue on the recall.

Re: Windshield Wipers Jump
My wipers have started doing the same thing. I contacted the dealer and provided them with the VIN. They told me the recall repair had already been performed (I bought the TB used), and I was on my own. Kinda disappointing.
