Unhappy Bent Rim

Yep I bent a rim last night....I hate NYC and all its damn pot holes. The tire is fine and didn't lose any air...also the lip of the rim is bent in slightly...should I take it to be repaired or buy a new one? Can they even fix that?

damn, that sucks man. spend all your hard earned cash and somethiong unfortunate as this happens... i guess the only option is to ring up a tyre shop and ask if they could fix it, or better yet, take it to the shop for them to inspect and get a quote. next time, keep your eyes peeled for potholes

Let the air out of your tire get a torch and a rubber mallet bang back then get the tire rebalanced.

Or they have machines that can roll the rim back but it's almost as much as a new rim.

if it costs as much as a new rim then you might as well be sure it is fixed and just get a new rim.:sun:

I thought it would be worse....i took a rubber mallet to it last night and bent it out.....it not perfect but its not as noticeable. @ this place called A1 Custom Wheels (it's in jersey city). I haggled with the guy for a couple of minutes and got him to 100 a rim.
