new to the buick community...kindof!
Hello to all!
I am a Camaro guy, but my Girlfriend, Heidi, just bought a 1991 Buick Century with the 3300 v6 engine for a song, and I will be helping her maintain it. The car looks great and runs well, which is a testament to the quality of Buick's products. Anyway, I like to be prepared for eventualities, espesially when dealing with a 15 year old car, so my requests are these: 1.) can anyone direct me to a complete wiring diagram for this model? 2.) are there any "model wide" maintenace issues I should be aware of? 3.) It appeares that all the maintenance records are in order, but is there particular things that need to be done, specifically with Buicks? Thanks in advance to all, and wish us luck!!! Jack

Well, first get a service manual from an auto parts store. They have wiring diagrams in the back, (Haynes manual # 38005). Second, there really is nothing special maintenance wise with Buicks. I would recommend using either an AC/Delco or Puralotor Pure One oil filter and Mobil (NOT Mobil 1) 10w-40, but that is just personal preference. You should get good service out of the car. Mine is a 94 with a 3.1 V-6 with 149,000+ miles on it. I just had to replace the fuel pump and other than that has been a heck of a good car. Oh, if you are looking or will be looking for tires, I have Goodyear Viva 2's on mine. Bought them at Wal-mart and they have been excellent tires. The price was great as well. Any more advise let me know

Re: new to the buick community...kindof!
I just got a 91 Century with a 3.3 engine in it about a month ago for the same song but with 76,000 miles. The oil fill cap says to use 10W-30 oil which I have and so far no problems. The other thing I did was to change the trans. fluid and filter and add a bottle of Lube Guard. As for a manual I got a GM 91 Century service manual on Ebay for $10.
