Hi, all. New to the board, and I have a question.
Yesterday, hubby put in a bottle of Fuel Injection carburator cleaner when he was putting gas in our van, right? He never turned off the van, and drove straight to my job, where he parked the van while we went out in my car. When we came back, the van wouldn't start. He went back a couple of hours later, and it still wouldn't start. He said that it's turning over, but sounds like it's not getting any gas, and he has put $35 in gas in the van over the last 2 days. He just got back this morning, and it's still not "catching". Someone mentioned that it sounds like the fuel pump, but is that not awfully coincidental that this would happen right after he puts in this additive? And do any of you know if the fuel pump in located inside the fuel tank? Someone else mentioned to me that this was the case in many GMC vehicles, and that if that was the case, the repair would be very expensive. Thanks in advance for all your help! |
