British GP

British GP is in a couple of days, Mclaren showing some early pace after Friday practice, so they could be quite a force this weekend. If Schumi and others don't get stuck behind another 'Trulli train' for the first 20 laps or so, we could see some exciting racing up front.

Re: British GP

At the end of Sat. practice 2, Alonso heads the table, Montoya 0.051s behind, and Trulli third, 0.372s behind Alonso. Schumacher was seventh. Raikkonen stopped midway through a lap early in the session.

Re: British GP

I remember reading a horscope of the drivers and their chances earlier in the year. They were all completely laughable as you would expect, but the one that really stuck out was Kimi's; it basicaly said his greatest asset was that he had luck on his side! Must have been comenting on the driver's love life, 'cause Kimi has none (luck that is) on track.

Re: British GP

Confirmed Kimi will require an engine change. 10 position grid penalty for the second race in succession. Fanfuckintastic.

Re: British GP

At the end of qualifying, the top three:
1st Fernando Alonso 1:19.905
2nd Jenson Button 1:20.207
3rd JP Montoya 1:20.382

Kimi Raikkonen set the second fastest time, but will drop to 12th after an engine swap.
Schumi's lap started out great, but ended up only 8th after a disappointing last two sectors. Looks set to be a real interesting race.

Re: British GP

Yeah Kimi is one better than France. Wonder if he can finish one better too? At least Montoya is ahead of Trulli so he may have a chance of keeping Alonso honest. Overtaking is hopefully not as difficult at Silverstone but with the new rules who knows? Schumacher Sr was actually tenth fastest but will be promoted to 9th thanks to Kimi's Merc.

Re: British GP

If I were Kimi I'd be taking a long look into Norbert's eyes. I can't believe how little luck he has.

Montoya should win this one, I think he's on fewer stops than Alonso.

Re: British GP

Sato's BAR stalls and he misses the start.
Good starts from the Macs, Montoya into the lead and Kimi up to 8th already.

Re: British GP

Safety car out. To clear Sato's BAR? If so why didn't they just delay the start? Oh that's right TV schedules.

Restart. Kimi was 0.2 seconds behind Michael Schumacher on the last lap!

Re: British GP

Alonso in second appears to be quicker than Montoya. Trulli has MS and Kimi bottled up, they also look faster but can't find a way through.

Re: British GP

Trulli is holding up Raikkonen and Schumacher, good to see some things never cange.

Yup, he is costing Kimi two seconds a lap compared to Montoya.
