Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6763

Holy crap, what a potential sleeper . I wish I had the dough. A polite looking 4-dr, but with a 4G63 turbo, VR-4 AWD, and stick shift. I'm actually considering getting a practical car soon (the Shpyder seats only the driver and a significant other ), and a 91 Galant GSX may well be my future beater-mobile.

Any thoughts, comments, inner-most emotions on why to go for it, or to stay away from it, would be appreciated.

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

Pretty sharp looking car for that year with the exception of the rust in the trunk. Motor and interior look surprisingly clean to me and only 81000 miles on it. I'd say go for it. Opportunity like that is rare

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

I have a friend that has a VR-4 and he has been using it as his daily driver ever since he got it...and he bought it brand new....its an awesome car...i would definatly suggest it...especially with that low miles...

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

Damn it I have NO money, but I'm going to ask me uncle for a loan.

The guy says he does not want to ship. But if by some miracle he DOES, would anyone know the shipping from OH to CA? To the nearest hundred? I REALLY want to get that. A 4-dr GSX? Hell yes!

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

Why not just get a bus ticket or a friend to go on a road trip... if the friend went with then ya got someone to follow just in case....
otherwise that car is definately the sleeper... with some really low ass miles!!... GL

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

That would be the perfect beater car. Well, I just talked to my uncle and he said he'd loan me whatever I needed. But I'm probably going to let it go if the auction climbs over $3000... the guy hasnt even emailed me back replying to the shipping issue. A joy-ride isnt an option right now, as much as I want it to be; I work 7 days a week now. Dagnabbit.

Re: Galant VR-4, what a practical and good lookin' sleeper

I tell ya what sphyder.... if jake doesn't get me my car by the next weekend (car/title and ability to drive it legally on the road) I won't have a way to get to my new job... which means I won't have a new job...jobless... If ya pay the bus ticket to the car and gas... i'll drive it out to ya along with a bus ticket home...
I won't have anything else going on except sitting jobless... lol
