95 JGC Transmission Problems
My son has a 95 JGC. A couple of weeks ago, it started blowing the transmission lines and loosing all the fluids. I've repaired the lines and even had them replaced front to back. Two days later, the transmission completely goes. I've had a transmission shop to replace the entire transmission, (rebuilt). It lasted two days. It never shifted properly with the replaced transy, and now it won't go into reverse. Any ideas? Could this be something else causing the problems?

Re: 95 JGC Transmission Problems
It could be the TCM, Transmission Control Module, have it checked.
Can you clear this up: "it started blowing the transmission lines and loosing all the fluids" Did the trans lines pop off the trans and or the rad? I have never heard of such a thing happening without something catching on them and ripping them out, even my GTO ballooned a filter but never poped a line off, not even at the hose... I would make sure that the factory cooler or coolers are not cloged with something! I hope this helps |

Thanks for responding! I'm not very familiar with engines, but I'll try to explain. I was told it is where the two trans lines connect to the engine and then run the length of the car. It was as if they were not "clamped" properly when they were repaired. They were again reclamped and the third time were completely replaced with new lines and connectors. This lasted about a week before the transmission went completely out. It did not loose any fluid this time.
