Farewell D15B2 Block.

Due to my son of bitch oil control jet my d15b2 block is now useless. I tried to get it out many different ways (including suggested bolt screw) and it ended in drilling and eventually failure. Fuck those confounded things, I broke screwdrivers and bent bolts nothing would take it out drilling didn't help either....Now I have to buy a SOHC ZC and start over..oh well at least I already have what I need and the motor will only cost $350. Go to hell oil control jet!

that sucks

That sucks man, what oil control jet? Is there some major thing wrong with the D15B2 block, or something? I have an 89 with 240K miles on it. I like to catch anything before I lose the good running motor!

For a mini-me (vtec head) you have to remove the oil control jet... so don't worry unless you plan on doing a mini-me...

well I have a chance to change all of the intake and fuel injection, I have the intake and FI, complete wiring harness. The only prob is I dont know how to do it, I am pretty knowledgeable with stuff like this and looking under the hood it does not look that hard but I dont know about the computers, or the minor details in this process. Coupled by the fact that I am stationed in Germany and there are zero places that deal in these changes. My car has been tuned to the best that it can give with all bolt on parts minus turbo. This includes full suspension cause I race at hockenheimer ring. I NEED MORE POWER! All joking aside though I have heard that changing to FI would be a great upgrade until I can get back to the states and do the engine right. Thanks for any help you could give on this detaled installation.

Re: Farewell D15B2 Block.

So you're running a carbed motor. I have no clue about that. If you mean you're doing mpfi from dpfi... it's not hard and you can do a look through the FAQ at the top of the page to find all the info to that. If you're doing a complete carb to fi... GL
