89-92 blazer disaster,,,,help!!

ok, here we go. Bought a 1989 4wd blazer. Body junk ran ok. Came across a perfect 92 blazer body that was smashed in the front. In a moment of temporary insanity, I decided to combine both to make one. The 1989 ran until about a week before I started the transfer. It wouldn't start. If I used starting fluid or poured gas into throttle body it would run until the fuel was used up. I thought it was a fuel pump so when I had both bodies off their frames, I swapped fuel pumps. I disconnect the wiring harness from the firewall of the 89 and put in on the 92. After the body transfer and the wiring connection, it still will not start. I have fuel, spark and will run just like before if I use starting fluid or gas. In my pursuit of this project, I have replaced: the throttle body and injectors, ecm, distributor, steering column(thought it had to do with the ignition or switches), and even the fuel pump relays. I have a chilton manual and have started to trace all wires. Right now I do have power to the throttle body injectors, but they are not pulsing. If I manually jumper the injectors, I can get them to spray. I have no patience or hair left. HELP ME!!!!!

Have you replaced the fuel filter? Could be clogged at that age.

a clogged fuel filter would cause the injectors not to pulse??? I'll try it and let you know. thanks,

fuel filter changed with new, no change. I guess I'll trace individual wires. I miss plain old carburators with manual chokes.

I am having the exact same problem with my 89 Blazer. It is a fuse in the fuse box that keeps blowing on mine. I replace the fuse and Im good anywhere from a block to a 1000 miles. But it continues to blow that fuse. Its the EMC fuse. Check your fuses, your problem might be there also.

ok, update. I traced the injector wire, after the new wiring harness, because I had no power. I checked in my chilton manual and it shows power coming from the fuse block. Ok, I checked. I have power at the fuse block but, the wire does not go to the injectors. It goes elsewhere and the wires that are supposed to be powered from that fuse block only go to the ecm. So, I jumped a wire from the fuse block to the injector wire. HA, it works. the engine starts and runs. Although confused, I did a complete tune up, oil change etc. It got up to op temp and then stalled. I started it again but it runs rich. I believe it is either clogged worn injectors, no shutting all the way or a bad iac?
any thoughts are definately appreciated.
