Spacerplate chrometube

I recently replaced carb on a 1973 linc mkiv. the spacerplate under the carb was the cause of my problem,there is a chrome tube that runs thru the plate.it was snaped in half.pyrchased new spacerplate but did not contain chrome tubing.contacted auto-outlets but no one can find tube can someone help?

Your not talking about the shafts that pivot the plates are you?

FYI..
On my bigA55 F250 I had to make a few tubes from copper tubing to get the choke heater to work correctly.
