Hello all-
I have a 1995 Pathfinder XE that has been nothing but reliable for 10 years (knock on wood), even though it's going on 260,000 miles. However, a recent problem is getting me down. The alarm keeps arming itself and then going off at random. Even though the alarm switch is in the off position, if I lock the doors, I am sure to get an angry coworker at my desk telling me my truck is going crazy. I live in a pretty safe area, so I have just taken to leaving the vehicle unlocked. However, this is not a good plan if I have to go to the store, etc. At this point, I am mostly content just disabling the alarm, although fixing it would be nice. Any ideas? Thanks |

Hi There,
I have similar problem on the same age/ mileage car. I shut the alarm off and doesn't matter is the car is locked or no when you remove the ignition key it starts not loud beeping ones every few seconds. Sometimes it is fine and in several hours it starts by itself (usualy after midnight )).Any suggestion? |

Re: 95 Pathfinder Alarm Problem
Alarm system could be faulty. Have a car alarm guy take a look at it.

Thanks. I pulled out the alarm and now everithing is fine. Probably will be cheaper to buy aftermarket alarm, mainly becouse of the remote control central locking/ unlocking feature...
