Maybe I'm just a retard, but I have NO idea what you're talking about. A pulse generator sounds like something out of a Star Trek episode

I cant give you an exact definition but it attaches to the transmission and i believe it signals the transmission on the correct gear the gear shift is in. Something like that.

A pulse generator also sounds like it could be something with the fuel injectors. They receive an electrical "pulse" that tells them when to open and close, i know that. But i would think that that would come from the computer....i.e. the injector timing circuit? Just my
