Cool Noisy air conditioner

when I idle or drive at low speeds the air conditioner makes awful noises and does not cool well (sometimes not at all) already had system charged--what next??

Can U B More Specific About The Types Of Noises U R Hearing? R They Coming From The Dash Under The Hood Ect?

I am not the original poster of this, but mine is makeing some strange noises too. It is very noticable, like a very bad version of a squeling belt. I suspicion it to be the clutches, but have not had the time to look at it yet.

a roaring sound from the area at the glove compartment and a kinda rattle under the hood
