88 stock stereo question
The stereo (AM/FM only) and speakers work great. I want to be able to hook up my IPod directly to the stereo. Is there a way to do this? Perhaps a headphone jack cable coming from the stereo with a switch to change between the AM/FM and the IPod? I could just plug in the IPod and flip the switch? I know it's going to involve some soldering...

I think the best thing to do would be to go to Wal-Mart and get a Belkin FM transmitter. They are in the same space as the MP3 players in electronics. The best ones are $40 and transmit over the entir FM band and it will store 4 station preferences. This way you will not have to pull your radio out and do any extra work.

Re: 88 stock stereo question
you can go to cardomain.com and pick up an aux-ipod made by pac, as well as a wiring harness to intercept the radio and make it think it's got a cd changer equipped. It may not be possible with such an old radio though. FM transmitter is the way to go.
