oil light

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix and I just changed the oil on it but the change oil light soon doesn't go off. does any one have any ideas.

Check this thread. I was able to reset my change oil light using one of the reset options.

Hello;
This is actually more common than you think. If the reset option isn't working for you it's easier just to have the 'sensor' replaced. I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT and this has been occuring since day 1.

HUH???The oil life monitor is a timer controlled by the cars computer, not a sensor. I hope that someone didn't reset your monitor and charge you for a sensor.
