Re: b18c1 swap into a 89 rex?

I think he means a Cble to Hydro conversion like the hasport one... or to convert the car to a hydro clutch if he is not using a cable clutch.

depending on what you have will determin what you need... do you want to make this motor OBD1 or still run OBD0 ?

there were no OBD0 B18c1 so if you want to stay OBD0 you need a B16a OBD0 Distributor and a aftermarket GSR intake manifold.

transmissions if you have a hydro one, you can sell or swap for a Cable one... mod to use ( Hasport Hydro conversion kit) or convert to a hydro clutch.

Mounts... these depend on the transmission you have... hydro... hasport... cable... hcp or any other kit.

Wiring... is you car an SI if it is it's not too bad to wire it up... just 4 wires from the engine bay if OBD0 ( knock, o2 x2, Vtec, Vtec pressure)

ECU, PWO, or PR3 if using OBD0.

Half shaft and axels ... 90-93 teg 5spd

Shifter linkage... any b-Series, needs to be modified to fit.

Rad hoses 95 del sol Vtec

... I think that's it.

Re: b18c1 swap into a 89 rex?

You must be an idiot. What you stated makes it sound like you are converting the trans itself. What the other dude was saying is you need the hasport conversion kit to run a hydro trans in a car set up for a cable clutch. Hench you being a fucking idiot.

And if you want to get technical, 92-93 gsr's were cable.

Re: b18c1 swap into a 89 rex?

yes the rex will need a hydro conversion. we are talking about the gsr b18c1, not the b17a. stick the drama back where you found it and keep the technicality to yourself. only from a pool service tech will you get technicality concerning oil filters like fram

can you still be my friend and hit the rock ?

fram filters are great.

so much drama. i believe we can keep the drama down by refering to the b18c1 instead of the b17a. no one here is refering to the b17a. you are missing the original question hybrid1990crx.

juicy05 asked in the beggining

Quote:
what tranny are you using
which implies that the b18c1 does come in a cable version too. which it didnt.

superblue responds with

Quote:
the b18c1 trannys are already hydro dont confuse the guy.
because the b18c1 doesnt come with a hydro tranny.

hybrid responds with

Quote:
are you a fucking idiot?
there are two idiots in this post. the drama queen and the person who implied that the b18c1 came in a cable tranny.

Quote:

gieco is F#cking expensive. great commercials, but, expensive.
