i have a 92 camaro that acting like its not getting gas when i try to crank it.they have put a coil fuel pump and air filter as well as spark plugs. we have even bought a new key for it because sometimes i can turn the key and try to crank it and it wont do anything almost like the battery is dead but the air conditioner and the radio and every thing works!!!!!!! help

I'm tempted to say the ignition switch at the base of the steering column.
You could double check by looking for voltage (12 or better) on the "s" terminal wire (s/b purple) of the starter while someon e turns the key to the start position. |

If it doesn't turn over at all it could be a problem with the starter solenoid. If it has trouble turning over (the starter motor actually turns over the engine, but doesn't seem to have enough power) and the battery is ok, and it will start with a jump, I'd say there's a good chance your starter is kaput, drawing too much amperage. If the problem's that it turns over but doesn't fire, you might want to look at the ignition module as morley suggested. |
