Update on my trouble codes problem
Thanks everyone for all the advice...I had the engine light on , the transmission was shifting weird and the first sign of all this was the fuel guage not reading right. After the codes were scanned I had map/maf/the fuel readings were out to lunch and a bunch of other codes as well...I took your advice and dumped the fuel cleaner (prestone stuff 17.00$) drove the van around for a couple of days, noticing the guage starting to move around a bit but still not right. Anyway today 5 days later, the guage is smack on and my engine light has gone out by itself..Van works great now hope it stays this way..The only thing puzzeling me now is why did the engine light extinguish itself, I thought you had to clear the code and the light would go out then

Re: Update on my trouble codes problem
The error code will purge itself once the vehicle has completed 20 (40 for some codes) OBD11 drive cycles without an error code.
The PCM also does not light up until it sees the same code 2 times within 20 drive cycles. Of course your CEL bulb could have burnt out....lol |
