AC and SES issue.
'95 Blazer LT w/ 4.3 vortec --
Two weeks ago while driving at interstate speeds, my AC quit blowing cold. I turned it off for awhile then back on and it blew cold again. Later that evening while driving in town the SES (service engine soon) light came on. AC was working fine, but I turned it off just to be safe. Took vehicle to Auto Zone to check the codes. The code referred to the Purge valve in the evap system. Since clearing the code, SES light has not come back on, however since that time the AC is flakey. sometimes it works, sometimes not. sometimes it comes on then quits randomly while driving. Anyone got any idea if the two issues are related or what steps to take? Thanks! |

Re: AC and SES issue.
Don't overfill your fuel tank.
Only fill it up until it clicks off. Overfilling and cramming fuel into the tank causes the charcoal canister to fill up with fuel and fail. As for the AC, does the fan stop or does the air turn warm.

Re: AC and SES issue.
So, you're thinking that they are unrelated issues?
The air blows warm. No issue with the blower. |

You need to recharge the AC system with a refill kit or check the pressure switch on the compressor. As for the EVAP, don't overfill your tank.
