Really, How good is PROLONG engine and tranny treatment???
i also posted this on the other forum:
Ok, so i was planning on spending bout $30 and getting that PROLONG pack of engine, fuel, and transmission treatment. It seems like it would be some really good stuff...and it even offers a lifetime warranty on you vehicle, givin that it is less than 9 years old and has less than 100k miles. Ive heard many good claims of this product from people who actually used it but then ive also heard that it doesnt do a thing. Anyone here ever used it, know of someone who has, or has anyone even heard of it for that matter. Gimmie your opinions... |

Never heard of it. If it is anything like slick 50 go for it. I watched a test where they ran two engines for an hour. One with regular oil, the other with slick 50 added. Then while the engines were running they pulled the drain plug and kept running the engines. In no time the one with regular oil burnt up and blew. The slick 50 had coated the other engine and made it continue to run. It was awesome. I always use slick 50 now.

Re: Really, How good is PROLONG engine and tranny treatment???
The PROLONG is supposed to be able to chemically combine with the metal components of the engine and the tranny to 'reduce' friction...even after the oil with the prolong has been changed. I guess thats why they offer that lifetime warranty. Check out the info at www.prolong.com .The site kinda sucks but tell me what you think. Anyone else ever tried or heard of it?

Sounds good. Sounds a lot like slick 50. Go for it and tell me how it works.
