will headers decrease hp with a jackson supercharger?

i definitly plan on getting a jackson supercharger in the future, but i want to know if new headers will decrease the hp provided by the supercharger. if so then i dont want to get the headers if it will just decrease the hp. its just a waste of money.

It should be OK. But good luck trying to put "headers" on your Civic. Last time I looked under my hood, I had an inline 4, therefore I only had to put on a header. Just one. I'm jus messin, it just bugs me when peeps say headers and they are talking about 4 cylinder Hondas. Nah mean? Anyway, I wouldn't forsee a problem with the header and JRS.

an aftermarket header with enlarged primaries has been proven to increase horsepower with jackson racing superchargers. i have yet to see one decrease power output. a 4-1 with a large collector would be ideal and kamikaze seems to be one of the bigger gaining units out when teamed up with the jrsc. exhaust systems are a huge restriction once you fo forced induction, not so much with a supercharger as a turbo but still quite restrictive so anything you can do to open up the bottle neck will help greatly and even more so then if you were naturally aspirated.

where did you hear about the kamikaze giving the most gains with a sc.woouldn't the 4-1 header give more power at higher rpm's. my ideal is to get more power at the lower rpm's and that is why i am choosing to sc it rather then turbo cuz of the lag.wouldn't the 4-2-1 header be a better choice for lower power gain.

with forced induction the idea of utilizing pressure waves to help evacuate exhaust gas is not as important as N/A because the flow is increased dramaticaly. you need to have something thats gonna be able to flow it out and do it quikly. you have to figure at 6.5 psi there is going to be a hell of a lot more air flowing in which means a hell of a lot more exhaust gas which means a hell of a lot more flow through the header which means a hell of a lot longer exhaust gas pulse which means that where your primaries meet the secondaries is going to become a bottle neck. shortest distance with the least amount of bends and merging is optimal for f/i.
