Models of Honda Civics

I love Honda Civics and I want to purchase one for my next vechicle. Problem is the is so many models I dont know what one is which, there the LX, SI, HX, and many more. Where can I go to learn about the diffrent models of each. I like the sporty version of the Civic, it has two doors and a rear spoiler, what model is this one?

Thanks

Re: Models of Honda Civics

well the Ex has the vtec motor and mostly all options and can have the ghey Si spoiler on it if u pay for it...

THe Si which is the one ur talking about sporty is the one with the wing and shit and has the DOHC b16 in it...Which is 160 hp and like 15.6 quarter mile time or somewhere aroung there...WHich useually sale around 8k and up unless u got a guy that is in bad need of money...

Lx has some options lil 1.6 non vtec motor that pushes around 106 hp and 103 tq can have options added on side also...

Dx is same motor as LX but no options besides sometimes A/c manual windows and all that good stuff...

Hx is pretty much close to the Ex is like 127 Hp and shit and has all the options but only comes in 2 door i think...

I say i left some out but o well...Anyone else wanna add anything go right ahead or correct something i miss typed...

I advise you do some research online before buying a car based on the spoiler it has. You can learn alot by doing some searching on this forums as well as others. The information above posted by rushb18 is good but you might want to do some comparisons online regarding different models and years to find which suits ur needs best. A car can always be modified to your liking after being purchased.

Actually, the HX model had a 115hp VTEC engine, and (I think) Honda's CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). There's one just four miles from me for $6k, and I might be buying it next week. If I do, you'll know because I'll replace the picture in my sig But yes, it was the big gas-saver. Rated at 34mpg in the city, and 38mpg on the highway.

Re: Models of Honda Civics

BTW the SI is the hathback, not the one that I was looking at. The model I was talking about is a two door, smaller car, with a small spoiler on back. Still not able to find it online.
