1994 2.3 L single OHC

If anyone has one could you do me a favor. I have been having alternator problems and I thought it was shorted and i was just looking at the plug to the ECM and it has 4 holes but on mine i only see metal to carry on the cricuit in 3 of the 4 holes. if you have this car could you just take a look at your plug and see what yours looks like cause make i just damaged the plug itself and everything is fine.

Unless you were messing with the plug before your alternator problems then I doubt the plug is messed up. To check your alternator you can either take it off and take it to a auto parts place that can test it, or take the car to a place that can do on-car test of the charging system. I'm not sure if auto zone does both but I believe they can do off car testing of alternators, actually alot of chain auto parts stores can.

Yeah i Know the altnator is fine and its the right one. but for some reason the car shuts right off when it is hooked up but when i unplug it from the ECM it will stay running but without it plugged in to the ECM it won't charge the battery so i need to figure out the problem with that connection of the alternator to the ECM thats why i though there might have been the plug damaged cause the wires don't seem to be pinched or anything
