3000GT VR-4 vs. Supra Twin Turbo.

What if a 3000gt vr4, and a supra twin turbo went head to head down a 1/4 mile track? An interesting match if i do say so myself. i want to know what everybody thinks about this one. im thinking the 3000Gt gets the quick jump, due to its 4 wheele drive, but the supra has a twin tubo. WHO WILL WIN?!?!?!!

Re: 3000GT VR-4 vs. Supra Twin Turbo.

what years do these match up evenly? like an 89 supra to a 93 vr4 in terms of 0-60 / 1/4?

Re: 3000GT VR-4 vs. Supra Twin Turbo.

This is a very old thread that once in awhile or so some1 would have to post it, it have been said 3000gt will win on a stop light to stop light or if u go from a highway roll supra will win. Due to the fact that 3000gt has an awd make it launch faster and Supra have an rwd making the twin turbo at it best for goin farther.... in my opinion

How come no one ever talk about drifting between this two car even though i noe that they are not good cars for drift, i have seen supra drift but not the 3000. Awd are good for dirftin.....

TO-3kgt222---R U A MORON, HOW COULD U SAY THAT AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE CAR IS A GOOD CAR FOR DRIFTING, CUZ OBVIOUSLY IN A AWD CAR ALL FOUR TIRES WOULD SPIN WHICH WOULDNT GET YOU THE ANGLE U WOULD NEED FOR A GOOD DRIFT, THERE FOR THE BEST CAR FOR DRIFTING BETWEEN A AWD AND RWD CARS THE RWD WOULD KILL IT (SO WOULD A FWD CAR)

Re: 3000GT VR-4 vs. Supra Twin Turbo.

fyi the VR4 has twin turbo as well. I only bring that up because of this statement

"im thinking the 3000Gt gets the quick jump, due to its 4 wheele drive, but the supra has a twin tubo. "

WTF is a Tubo?

This Question has been posted about 8 million tims in about 5 million different forums.

I think the answer is always the same too, it depends on the driver.

And Skylines Come in RWD form you know? Also some subbies can have a fuse popped out to make them go RWD instead of AWD.

And FWD... drift? hah... HAHAHA... AWD can drift a hell of alot better then FWD, actually come to think of it, a FWD really can't drift. at least not to any effectiveness.

Close this please?

back the the original question, i'm guessing your talking about an MKIV supra, cause any other supra would get its tail kicked by a vr-4. As far as 100% stock goes, down the 1/4 mile, the VR-4 might get one tenth better E.T. but the supra will have the higher trap speed. As said before, stop and go racing will go the vr-4, highway racing will go to the supra. Now, down the 1/4 mile in BPU forms, the supra will win due to the fact that they came equipped with bigger turbos and bigger fuel components out of the factory.
