OMG that was awesome. My 91 CRX Si has an intake and exhaust and short shifter. This dude in a 98 eclipse rolls up and wants to race. He jumps a little on the start but by 3rd I pulled even, slammed 4th, and I was gone. Nothin but mirror. Ohh but that was the second start. The first time we tried to go he was still sitting there spinning his wheels when I was 50 feet down the road. Said he had his E-brake on.
I thought I had no chance when he got me off the line. Wooooo!

Nice kill... well maybe, you raced a guy that left his e-brake on the first time.

Re: Woohoo Big Kill
Lol, thats pretty funny. "I had the E-Brake on" is the lamest trying-to-cover-my-ass-cuz-I-lost line I have ever heard. haha. He shouldv'e tried one of the following that always work for me:
"Bah, slippin' clutch bro!" "Damn boost leak!" "No LSD bro!!" "Its only 10 psi right now man, for daily driving!" More, coming soon. Lol. |

Re: Woohoo Big Kill
I wouldnt really list the boost stuff as excuses for ricers, though the tach and downforce arguments are, for sure. I'm pretty sure the true, pure-bred ricer doesnt even know what boost is.
Though running 10 psi myself these days for the daily grind, the car is a lot slower than when I was doing 17 psi. . The in-dash button-pusher is around $600 installed, so I'm gonna wait for a bit.
