Question Should I buy it?

I recently found a pontiac sunfire at a little dealarship and it is a 98 with 68,000 miles on it. The guy wants 3,200 for it. But I don't know anything about pontiacs and i wanted to know if anybody could help me with some info.

I'd ask around in the Sunfire forum, probably get more info there than here.

Re: Should I buy it?

i wouldn't, i and many friends ahve tried a used car dealership, the small ones your talking about, and if the car is that new, that low of mileage, and that cheap, i think they may be screwing you over, what i would do is take it to a pontiac dealer, ahve them check it out, it'll cost aobut 100$, i've done it many times, trust me, its saved me from buying a car that had atleast 3k in damages easily, they will check everything too, seems useless but in the end it'll save you money.

Re: Should I buy it?

if its a base model that actually isn't that cheap for that car, that price is just about right.

If it has the 2200 engine that engine is slow as balls but reliable as a tank.

If its the 2.4L then that price is really cheap and there's something probably wrong with it.

Smile Thanks for the help

Can u believe this guy is even selling this car? I had a carfax report done on it, and the car has had 15 owners, two salvage titles, and it's been totaled twice. What a jerk!!

Well, the search for a car continues........

Re: Should I buy it?

do you expect him to hold on the car forever? if you owned it you'd want to sell it too, at least he's offering a good discount for the problems.
