Dino 246 gts

Hey everbody! This is my latest project, the lovely (har) Fujimi Dino 246 gts. Pretty low quality model, as far as detail and casting go, yet it was a fun model to build. I say this because it really goes together easily and looks fairly good without too much fiddling.
The only troubles I had were the chin fascia needing to be attached before painting, which complicated assembly and fitting. The other was the way the body fit to the chassis. The locating tabs in the nose of the body got in the way and ended up getting sliced off.
However, the overall stance and look are right on target. I want to add that this model was kind of a quickie. It was a gift for my dad for Father's Day, and I was only able to get ahold of the kit a month ahead of time. He always said he loved the Dino, but just couldn't find a way to aquire one. This was my way of helping him do so...

Anyhoo, the color is TS-47 Chrome Yellow, the trim is Bare Metal foil. The wheels were painted with buffing aluminum metallizer, but left un-buffed for a "cast" appearance.

Here you can cee the interior. The steering wheel is PE from Detail Masters. The shifter was made from solder. Tamiya acrylics used throughout.

Great work on the Dino I have two of this and I will be building it in two version, the early and later version. I've build two of it before and I'm not planning to destroy two more

You've done a good job to a fairly simple kit. Love the yellow and chrome combination. Even the interior looks great. Your father must be proud getting a Dino for Father's Day

I understand how you feel about the chin fascia. It's really a pain in the a** (and I've build two of this kit! )

yeah..... mine came with a cracked windscreen as well....
and i'm glad to hear that i'm not the only one with the body/chassis fitting problem.

My dad really seemed to like it when I gave it to him, so I'm happy with the build. I even bought a little case to put it in, so he can display it on his desk at work.
Sorry to hear about the cracked windscreens; I guess since it's a semi-old kit (RS-1) these things might have to be expected.
