air intake kits?
he's the deal. i still have my k&n air intake kit from my 94 cougar with a v-6 that also i would like to add has 2 blown head gaskets. i was wondering what dangers i migth face in puting it on my 94 t-bird with a 4.6 v-8. im alittle worried becuase 2 weeks after i put the kit on the cougar 2 weeks later the head gaskets go. do i need to worry about that with my 4-8 t-bird will this hurt the tranny any? like i said just wondering about the dangers in putting it on the t-bird. thanks for the help guys. You might encounter the problem of hood clearance over the heads on the V8. Im not really too familiar with the clearance and routing on the V6 engines but on the 94-95 V8 engines the intake is routed directly over the heads through the "violin case" box. I have yet to find anybody that makes a repacement intake for the 94-95 V8. If the intake you have doesnt fit you can port the violin case or you can use a civic intake tube. The civic tube DOES work I have it on my car.

Sounds pretty much like a coincidence that 2 weeks after they go. Could of just been its time. how many miles? was the coolant flushed oftenly?
