Exclamation PLEASE HELP!!! 2000 Grand Am SE Problems

I was just wondering if anyone has had an Instrument Panel Lights problem with their Grand Am's. All of the lights work, like the security light, check engine lights, etc. But the RPM, Gas, Temp., Speed Gauges, etc. arent lit up. I keep changing the fuses that are associated with the lights, but they still arent working. I also have another problem that deals with the Transmission, I think. Whenever I am driving and trying to accelerate, the acceleration is a little delayed. Also, whenever I am trying to accelerate it sounds like the car is wheezing. And also, when I am on the Interstate and I need to speed up, the car feels like its speeding up, down, up, down, up down. When this happens, I look at the RPM Gauge, and the needle is moving up and down. I know this is long, but if someone could please tell me what I should do, I would greatly appreciate it.

well i dont wanna be dumb but have you checked your instrument panel brightness adjuster you might have it all the way down..
About the trans when you say you accelerate its delayer are you talking when the throttle goes to the floor just any type of acceleration
As for the surging... we need to know year model and type of trans before anyone can judge whats wrong

The adjuster is all the way up. I have a 2000 Grand Am SE, the engine is 3400 V6.
