intreped for sale, but it has a broken tranny, how much $$$

There is an intreped by my house for sale for $500, i dont know what year it is, but it is probablyl ike 97 or something.

It says it needs a new transmission (Well, duhh, it is a chrystler/dodge/plymouth)

WOuld this car be worth it? How much would it cost me to get a new tranny put in?

I personally would stay away from it. A tranny rebuild will run you between $1500-$2000.
