Question a/c and heater floor blower will not blow

I have a 1998 Chevy s-10 Blazer. The blower for floor will not blow. When you select either the defrost and floor or just the floor, the blower motor slows and then speeds up and only blows though the defrost vents on the dash. Does anybody have a fix for this with out spending hundreds of dollars at a shop to fix this. Thanks

I had similar problem. Sounds like a vacuum leak. check the vacuum lines.

I agree w/ the others. I had the same problem in an older model and it was like a $5.00 hose - I think labor and parts was under $30 - works like a champ now!
