Re: Question about 98+ Maros

i think the base sixer was like 24k, the Z was around 28-30k and the SS was around 34-36k. i could be way off here.

Re: Question about 98+ Maros

I'm pretty sure the v6 started at about 18. Base z28's started at 23,000, but could cost up to 28k with convertible and options. SS started at 27 but could reach all the way up to 36,000+ with the 35th anniversary edition convertible.

Re: Question about 98+ Maros

My Maro (2000 3800) cost 21,580 with the T-5, no leather, 16 inch wheels alum. Y87...The Z28 Ranged from 26-29,000 and the SS peaked about 31,000. Both the Coverts for the Z and the SS had seperate prices, the Z was 28,000 and the SS was 36,000. I read this off a site somewhere...so yeah.

Alright so what we got is 6 at 21, Z at 28 (hehe ) and SS at 36.

Now my question is, do you guys really think that all that extra money was worth buying an SS? I mean I know, SS more HP and what not but if it's just the hood alone and the ram air stuff that you're buying along with SLP I think that did exhaust or whatever, the price seems kinda...jacked up dont you think?

Re: Question about 98+ Maros

eh, call me a pessimest

but yeah i would not have spent the extra money on an SS for 15 extra hp that i could probly double with a set of headers and an exhaust. 600 for 30hp vs 12,000 for 15hp, which would you choose.

Exactly, what was Chevy thinking? The prices just dont add up, now if it was like lets say 1K or 2K more then it'd be fine, but thats just too much!

Agreed.

But the WS.6 option was a $3200 option. I could see an SS getting up there towards $35K.
Easier if it is an anniversary edition.
