Tranny Swap
Ok. My 93 4door cavy's transmission is on its last legs. I bought another cavalier same year, same everything as mine, but with a blown motor. I am planning to take the transmission out of that one, and put it into mine. My only problem is that ive never done a transmission swap on a front wheel drive. Any tips? Whats better, taking the motor and all out by lifting it, or dropping it. Any help would be appreciated

I did a Citation trans swap several years agoe without dropping the subframe and it was a pain (what trans swap isn't). So if you could I would get the car in the air and drop the whole subframe. You will need to have a buddy to help you when you do that but it will be a ton easier overall.
