question on ecu swap

I got a h22 turboed and I'm using a p72 chiped ecu they told me that the p72 was easier to chip so now everything is running fine exept I cannot feel the vtec kiking in or hear it.I'm using a vafc do you guys think that maybe the vafc is not working or do I have to change some pins in for the p72 ecu?

i dont know if this is a valid statement to make, but i have a chiped p13 ecu and once i installed the vafc i had some problems like that. like sometimes i dont think Vtec kicks in. I think chipping and a vafc interfear with one another. yes,no???
