Passlock????

i read on different post that the passlock system could prevent truck from starting ......with test light to gray wire on fuel pump wiring harness would it still light if passlock was preventing car from starting ? 2000 Chevy silverado 1500 z71 5.3l

As I understand the passlock will shut off the injectors and kill the starter relay on most vehicles. Shouldn't affect the fuel pump I 'm thinking.
