Fram Air Hog Air Filter

Has anyone had any success installing
a Fram Air Hog filter (p/n PPA6479) in their 3.5L Intrigue?

I purchased one, but found that the filter would not fit in my filter housing cavity because the cavity is slanted on the inner side and vertical an the outer side (top is 10.0" across and bottom is 9.7" across) where the Air Hog filter is vertical on both sides, 10" across top and bottom. The filter would not squeeze in.

I wrote a letter to Honeywell (Fram) and asked if there was a design error here. That was two weeks ago and have not heard a word back.

Surprise, after one month, I received a nice reply from Fram (Honeywell) stating that they were aware of the fit problem with the Air Hog filter and the Intrigue, and they have redesigned the filter to fit the Intrigue. They apologized for my inconvenience and sent me a comlimentary "newly released PPA6479 filter."

Nice of Honeywell. Only problem, the "newly released PPA6479 filter" they sent was identical to the old one. So, I'll write back and tell them thanks, but sitll no worky!
