can anyone name good brands of alarms ot buy from.

anything from Directed. i personally have a viper on my car and it's pretty good. lately the remote has been a little wack, but it is still under warranty so i just got a new transmitter.
some people like code alarm (at least i think that's the name) there are a few others, but MANY people like anything from Directed (clifford, viper, python...think they also make Hornet)

audiovox, dei, prestige premier, astrostart, compustar (one of th best), directed, miscellaneous cheapo brands. hope that helps.
