body kit

I am planning on getting a 6th generation Celica, and am wondering if the body style would fit the stock body kit that you find on the 7th generate GT-S. I'm also wondering how much the stock kit would be?? All info would be helpful. Thanks

Re: body kit

why would they fit? 6th and 7th gens look nothing alike. if i were you i would just put on some 17s and lower it a little bit. if you really want one theyre not hard to find on the internet. any site that sells stuff like that will have them. just please dont make it look like a ricer.

Thumbs up

If you wanna put a 7th gen stock kit on go for it. It will probably have to be custom molded and shaped. If this is too spendy look on ebay for a cheap kit. It's your car. I think the blitz kit on that celica looks pretty nice. If anyone disagrees they can stick that little thumbs up up their :o If people tell you your car is rice, put a hella fast engine in and whoop their @$$. Don't go doin what other people tell you. If you do you will end up with a fixed up celica that in no way expresses who you are, but what everyone else wants you to be.

Re: body kit

im not telling him not to get a body kit. im tellind him not to rice it out it makes celicas look bad leave that crap to the civics. body kits are allright for some cars they look decent on 6th gens. but the 7th gens are more square shaped and 6th gens are rounded it will be alot of work and will look funny when its done. there are plenty of nice kits for 6 gens just look around.

the 6th gens look nice the way they are and I really don't think you should go and put a 7th gen body kit on there. No offense or anything but they're ugly. I don't care if it is just the body kit. If you're gonna buy a 6th gen do it right. They're nice. And you're lucky to have one. Specially if it's a 97. But yea I guess what I'm saying is do it right. Don't mess with 7th gens.

Unhappy

Oh come on, the 7th gens are not ugly. They're just different. The first ferraris looked weird, now they are classics. The new celica just takes some getting used to. I would take one mostly just because they are being discontinued and later on people are gonna really want them. The 5th gens are better, I think, but thats just me.

Re: body kit

Hey I'm obviously a Celica person it's just that I think they should have ended the Celicas with something a little more..."old school" looking ya know. Plus...ince they stopped making Celicas, I think people would want the older models ya know. So they can say oooo look...I have an old Celica...they don't make these kind of cars anymore

That is true, the celica has always been a pioneer though. It has been something different from most cars. If they hadn't quit making them I think the new celica could be the start of something new. In 1990 the celica was rounded and different from most any other car on the street. Other companies followed and now the celica is more edgy and aggressive. Other companies once again are following, evo, the new civic si. Possibly if toyota hadn't quit this celica could also be a trendsetter, but not now that they cut it off for those scions. By the way, how is your 88?? I think 88, doing? Got a kit for it yet?

Re: body kit

I know just like how Del Sols are cheap rip off's of MR2's. Everyone has to take toyota's style. OH and I think Scion's are decent. Honda's are junk and cheap rips off.

Careful cactuargirl, you say the word honda on here and people will fly out of nowhere to spout off their opinion. Everyone knows they suck. It's just one of those facts, like a chinese proverb or uhhh something that sound good...

Re: body kit

7th gens are very nice. they are unique among japaneese cars. not a gay little hatch like hondas. i know they are a hatchback tecnicaly but im talkin about the wagon looking hatchbacks. or boring sedans like the evos and sti's. they remind me oof lamborginis somewhat.

Dont bring up the "hondas suck" bullshit, that just shows how stupid and ignorant you are. Most Hondas were not hatchbacks. And boring sedans like Evos and STi's? Sorry kid, but theres nothing boring about having and AWD turbo with around 300 hp. I dont like Hondas any more than I like Toyotas, but to ignore the enormous potential of an engine becuase of its brand is straight up retarded.

To answer the question this thread was started for, if the lengths and widths are pretty close, you could probably rig it on with some customizing.

DAAMMMNNN Thor, that was icy. Everyones just gotta be so bitchy don't they. As a general rule of anyone who owns a honda they are trying to make it fast because few hondas are. That is a fact. The S2000 is an exception. Civics, accords, del sols, odysseys are all slow. I'm not saying the 5th gen celicas are fast either. 135 hp is nothin hot. Unless your packin more than 200 hp you got nothin.

Re: body kit

dude cool down i never said hondas suck. im talkin about all the little hatch civics drivin around like theyre the shit. honda has plenty of good cars, s2000, prelude, and acura. and hondas vtec is great. but looks wise none of their cars stand out. and the comment abiout evos and stis was about the looks of them not their performance. i think they they should put the performance into a better looking car. a sporty looking coupe or something like the eclipse. they are sedans and sedans are usually not that great looking. performance wise the evos are bad ass. im not stupid and not a kid so dont act like you know everything.
