454 in a '65 chevy II nova

I have a 65 chevy II nova, and have recently purchased a 454 rocket. I know this engine will go in. However i am not sure on the amount of work i am going to have to do to get it in. Any thoughts or suggestions on this project would be appreciated.

Another quick question. anyone know if the frame mounts for the 65 chevy II and the 65 nova SS are the same?

should go right in, biggest difficulty will be keeping it cooled and you might want to change the springs in the front to handle a big block. Good luck

Even a warm small block calls for frame connectors. The 454 will twist your body like a pretzel without 'em.

Also recommend front disc brakes. The stock front drums look like peanut butter jar lids! That's why about half of the V8 Nova swaps I've seen seem to last less than 30 seconds before wrapping themselves around a tree or pole.
