clean key wait 3 min

has anyone figured out how to fix the clean key wait 3 min thing, my car does it every day and its getting on my nerves. i was thinking that I need to replace the lock key cylinder or the keys themselves or both so let me know thanks

wait 3 min.

same thing happened to my 98 aurora. took to mechanic and he put a new resistor in ignition. cost less than 100.00 for everything.

I saw that message once - took the aurora keys off of my keyring to reduce weight to a minimum. Never saw the message again.

Dealer replaced ignition tubblers and key, 400K, never see the message again.
