ok I am back. I have a 94 4.6 got a motor in it. It is running. But when you go to drive it there is grey smoke coming out the rear like a smoke screen. This car is starting to become a pain. any ideas Thanks

Re: smoke

How many miles have you got on it? Does it always do this or just in some situations?

Re: smoke

Might the smoke be bluish vs. grey? The '94 and '95 4.6 had an issue with valve seals.

Re: smoke

It sounds like you put a "junkyard" engine in your car and not a rebuilt one. If it sat for quite a while, the rings could have become stuck which lets oil get into the combustion chamber and cause the smoke you see. Do a compression test to see if all cylinders are about equal in pressure.
