smoke
ok I am back. I have a 94 4.6 got a motor in it. It is running. But when you go to drive it there is grey smoke coming out the rear like a smoke screen. This car is starting to become a pain. any ideas Thanks

How many miles have you got on it? Does it always do this or just in some situations?

Might the smoke be bluish vs. grey? The '94 and '95 4.6 had an issue with valve seals.

could be blueish the engine has been sitting awhile I just got it in the car not sure on mileage. It starts real good, runs quiet,little smoke when it is idleing but when you give it gas it runs a little rough and smokes alot

It sounds like you put a "junkyard" engine in your car and not a rebuilt one. If it sat for quite a while, the rings could have become stuck which lets oil get into the combustion chamber and cause the smoke you see. Do a compression test to see if all cylinders are about equal in pressure.
