Re: boost gauge installation?

err i don't see myself getting a drill and making a hole there, and leaving the crap in the intake...
soooooooo does this means i have to remove the intake and the blower to do this?

im looking forward in putting on a smaller pulley on the blower, just to add a pound or two. we have bad rice around here and whipping there arse with a 4000 lbs car would be a delicacy.

Re: boost gauge installation?

You’re absolutely right, you need to pull the intake to drill & tap the hole! Clean all the debris out, then install a hose fitting that matches your gauge.

Re: boost gauge installation?

omg.....thats like...too much...

i heard on a grand prix forum that i might have vacuum hoses on the lower part of the intake, like underneath the blower and plug the hose there.

im gonna have to check that tomorrow night.

Question Re: boost gauge installation?

If you have a vacuum line that is also on the boost side of the SC you can use that to messure vacuum & boost. The stock guages I have seen go from -10 in vacuum to +10 boost.

Re: boost gauge installation?

Your right, the factory gauages are not the way to go. I don't know of a PA from the factory with the boost-vac gauage. You might want to consider this one.

Re: boost gauge installation?

thats a nice gauge

i'll consider this... but i thought of soemthing, i might do it later on since the gas prices are kinda high, i dont think adding 2 pounds of boost will help MPG LOL
