DIC or DID

1998 Buick Regal LS driver information center appears to be working except the display is fading?? Other dash lights appear to work fine. Any suggestions as to what is the problem would help - thanks

not sure but check your bulbs if any?

It is the electronic display, the normal bulbs on the dash work well and the dimming control works. The shift indicator works normal the only symptom was the DID was faded, tap dash and it would light up, now the taping does not work and the DID is really faded. The DIC control switch appears to function normally as it changes the display and the data that appears is normal.
