Expedition Gas Mileage

Can anyone tell me the difference in gas mileage I can expect in a new 2005 Expedition with a 3.23 standard rear end and the 3.73 tow package rear end? Thanks!

Oh I would think you would lose about 1 MPG and maybe more with the 3.73. It really depends on WHERE you drive (city/highway), and HOW you drive as to what the difference will really be.

milage

I own a 03 expedition with the 5.4L V8 4 X 4 and have the 3.73 limited slip rear end. There have been times were I have gotten 18 mpg in it standard highway driving, but there have been times pulling (max load) that I have gotten 8 mpg. I would go with the 3.73 limited slip, but that is because I live in Minnesota and it helps a ton in the winter.
