bolt sequence

im sure its online sumwere but ive looked online for the past hour and a 1/2...im tryin to find the sequence of the cylinder head bolts im putting a d16z6 head on a d15b7 block in my 90 civic,if u can supply me with a picture that would be great..thanx ~marcus

as far as bolt sequences go...................i dont ever use the helms or haynes for that. i just start from the outside corners and work my way in. ive never had problems.

i work from the outside in. starting from the mid out would be ok too. im more focused on the correct amount or more torque than sequences.

i found it its 22lbs step 1 and 53lbs step 2 n u go middle out,now how do i delete this thread?

I start from the inside and go out in a spiral pattern...and for the torque specs, i do 75% of the torque the first time and then i start back in the center and torque them all the way in the same spiral pattern as before.

Fuck that bullshit, go by Hondas specs...

8 6 2 4 10
9 3 1 5 7

and the torque amount is 22lbs-ft for the first step and then go back and do them 53 lbs-ft

You do it that way to insure even pressure across the mating surface, lessening the chance of leaking and warpage.

but, ive never had problems with my technique
