I have a 93 Cougar XR7 5.0 My car runs at 2000 rpms in park I just put in a brand new Throttle Position Sensor because i took my car down to get a diagnostic test done and the codes were shooting out that problem.... My car is still running that high what else would be wrong?

Re: RPM problems
Check your Mass Air Flow Sensor, it is known for causing this problem as well. Take it off, and be VERY careful, but swab it lightly with a q-tip. The slightest amount of dust / dirt can reak havok on a motor (I know from experience). Try this and see if it makes any difference.
