Funny you should ask. About 8 years ago I was heading towards a car show in NJ. Before I even got on the highway near my townhouse here in PA I was passing Kelly Cadillac and noticed a lot with cones setup and a Corvette running through it. I was curious so I pulled into the parking lot.

I met some very nice people and they described to me this thing called autocrossing. I asked what I could do to sign up; they said $20 and a driver's license (and of course a safe car). Now mind you my 1st real car was a 1993 Civic Ex not exactly setup for autocrossing Huge wing, body kit, 17" wheels, automatic, etc....

But I did manage like a 3rd place out of 20 cars. That was the end of 1997 and in 1998 I think I attended about 5 events. And won PA State Championships in 1998 in my class.

Then I got a 1988 CRX Si to learn how to drive stick - actually my wife taught me on her 1995 Jetta GL 1st, then I drove the CRX Si for a year because I knew I wanted a 2000 Civic Si.

In 2000 I attended like 20 events, 2001 about 25, in 2002 about 35, in 2003 about 35, and in 2004 I think I did 40 events. I was Rookie of the Year in 2000. 1st place in my region 2002-2003, 2nd place in my region from 2000-2001, 2004, 1st place in South NJ in 2001, 2nd place in Philly 2003-2004, 3rd place in Valvoline Cup 2002, 2nd place in Valvoline Cup 2003-2004, and so far in 1st place. Also for 2004 I was awarded "Most Sports Car Minded" for attending so many fricking events

I was asked to do a pilot for what is now Sports Car Revolution back in 1999, but it was axed due to being unpopular by Speed Channel.

I was also interviewed for Honda Tuning and The Honda Acura Performance Handbook

Re: Videos from Philly @ Ripken combined.

Sweet ive been meaning to start autocrossing but not sure where they are held all the time. Are they always held @ englishtown? And what time would i need to be there to sign up? Do they have clothing restraints for what you need to wear for racing ie: long sleeve shirt helmet and jeans? I would love to go this weekend and start my autocross career.
