Buying a 1993 J30 need opionions
Ok here is the deal I have a 1990 Honda civic hatchback dx. This guy is looking to trade his 93 J30 for my car and + $1000. Do you guys think thats a good deal? what kind of gas does this car use? how expensive is the maintanance? I went to edmunds.com and they say its a really reliable car, but my worries is the maintanance, is it going to be expensive? i know its a gas guzzler compared to my honda, but i dont mind that. Thank you all in advance for any advise you can give me.

Re: Buying a 1993 J30 need opionions
You need to take a look at the car really well. About two months ago I picked up a '93 J30t with 119k on it for $1500. Things to look for:
does the radio work does the power attena work front tension rod bushings(leaking = bad) dash lights headlights sunroof operation all other general items. These are just some things known to have problems. Parts are not cheap, but if you can do the labor it should be fine. I have had to get my parts from the dealer. |

Re: Buying a 1993 J30 need opionions
um... gas mileage for me is 22 mpg (being gentle with the car)
i love rwd, so i'm biased. the civ will be better gas mileage, but the J is a fun ride as well. I'd check the rotors, engine, sunroof as well as the leather seats (mine are cracking) as much as i love the J, unless he's giving you a grand with it, i'd keep the civ. (always good to make a buck or two) |
